Ambassador Men Fall Short Against Randall

Joplin, Mo.

By Marissa Montano

The Ozark Men’s basketball team competed Tuesday night against the Saints from Randall University with a final score of 87 to 71. The Men’s basketball team showed some fight in the first half, tying up the game by halftime. Coach Lahm, head coach of The Ozark Men’s basketball team, stated that “the first half we were able to catch up so quickly because we played really good defense”.

In the second half of the game, the Ambassadors started off a little slow and “did not play team defense or play as one unit in the beginning of the second half'', Coach Lahm explained following the game. Coming back in the second round from a tie requires a lot of energy and it can be very crucial to avoid mistakes.

Toward the end of the second half the men started  making some quick plays which improved their score about 10 or more points. However, they were too late to launch a comeback.

Overall the Ambassadors played a great game and put up a great fight against one of the best teams at the NCCAA Division II level. The Men’s Basketball team shows a lot of skill this year, with many new faces and new attributes. They have a lot of potential to perform at a high level in their upcoming games.
